Changes to my study programme In general, I really like my journalism career. When I had to choose the place of study, the University of Chile was always my first option because I had already studied the academic curriculum and years before I had known the infrastructure of the place. In addition, I also met some students who were already studying the degree in more advanced years so I was well informed.  In my academic curriculum, my favorite subject was narration because the professors who taught it were imminence of journalism. In most of the classes that I took during these years, the professors were excellent and renowned in their areas, but one of the first difficulties that I experienced was when we had radio in the second year.  I would like to have better infrastructure as well as space and technology to better understand this area because we could only be radio announcers and not know more about production or console management.  Another difficulty I had ...

Time travel to the past or future The possibility of time travel has always been a mystery to me. I have never paid attention to it because it’s still not possible yet. But if there was the possibility of being able to do it, I would love to be able to travel to the past. I feel that it is more realistic for my current life to go to the past and be able to fix some things in my life from when I was younger.  I am not interested in traveling further into the past like the middle ages or another date because it woul d be just for contemplation. If I travel to the past, I would love to see myself as a young girl and be able to intervene at crucial moments in my life to give it another path in situations that I don't like.  When I feel that I could change certain things, I would like to be able to return to my present and see what my new reality would be like. But if there is no possibility of intervening in your past, a stage of life on earth that I would like to be able to...

My best holidays A few years ago I traveled with one of my best friends Catalina to the south of Chile. We have been traveling for about 3 months on route backpacking and I think that experience was the most grateful and amazing in my life (for now).  It happened in January of the year 2018. We had thought about this trip for the whole year and finally in December we had everything that we needed to do it. We started in La Serena and our first parade was in Santiago. Stayed in a friend’s house for like a week and then we moved on to the south.  Since the beginning of our trip, we have been to more than 10 cities and towns throughout the south of Chile like Talca, Chillan, Valdivia, Pitrufquen and Puerto Montt. Our last parade was Castro, on the island of Chiloé.  During the trip, our activities consisted of setting up our camp in a safe place and getting to know our surroundings. We cooked in the afternoon and slept as soon as the sun went down to take better advantage of...

Places I would work remotely from being a digital nomad One of my desired jobs is to be a digital nomad because this type of work gives you freedom in terms of managing your time and the place where you want to be, whether at home or in another country. If I had this job, I would love to get to know some countries in Latin America like Ecuador or Colombia, then be able to travel to another continent like Europe. One of the countries where I would like to start would be Greece or Spain because I love the culture and the food in these places.  As I’m finishing my journalism degree, I hope to be able to work in something related to it, like in Marketing or internal communication on some website , but actually I would like to be a travel blogger and be able to document my stay in various countries.  I think that my only inconvenience or disadvantage of being a digital nomad is how far away I would be from my loved ones but thanks to technology, this is not an impediment to b...

How to get from JGM to Quinta Normal?  To get from JGM to the Quinta Normal park, you have to get out to the campus by walking to the exit of Av Grecia.  When you get there, you must go to the bus stop in front of the Portal Nuñoa and wait for the 508 that goes in the direction of the center of Santiago (on the sign it will say direction to Mapocho, but you must get off before the end of the tour) The bus stop where you should get off is called Quinta Normal. When you get there, you just have to cross the street because the park is right there in front of you. The entire bus ride takes approximately 40 minutes, but it’s worth it getting to know this beautiful place in Santiago.
